The historical published images are acquired and then extraction and classification are performedaccording to the elements of the images, the weight of different classes of images is combined according to the corresponding proportion to calculate the psychological health value I of the psychological state, and the psychological health value I reflects the psychological health assessment result. The invention also discloses a psychological health assessment system based on the historical published images. The system comprises an image collector, an image analysis center and a psychological database. The beneficial effects are that the social images published by the examinee within a period of time are analyzed to predict the psychological state of the examinee, and the accurate prediction result can be rapidly obtained by combining the proportion and the weight of certain classes of images of the same image elements because of the fact that different colors and different contents of images and even the images published at different time reflect different psychological states; andthe image collector acquires the published images of all the social platforms of the user, such as the microblog and the circle of friends so that the assessment content displaying the user state is enabled to be more comprehensive and closer to the real state of the user.
