Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method and device thereof for transmitting a reference signal pattern. The method comprises the following steps: determining the number of symbols N occupied by a CSI-RS (Channel State Information-Reference Signal) resource by network equipment, wherein N is a positive integer, and N={1, 2, 4}; obtaining a pattern of the CSI-RS resource by the network equipment according to the number of symbols N; transmitting configuration information corresponding to the pattern of the CSI-RS resource to terminal equipment by the network equipment, wherein N=1, and the pattern of the CSI-RS resource occupies one resource element RE on the time domain, and occupies at least four continuous REs on the frequency domain; or N=2, and the pattern of the CSI-RS resource occupies two continuous REs on the time domain, and occupies at least two continuous REs on the frequency domain; and or N=4, and the pattern of the CSI-RS resource occupies four continuous REs onthe time domain, and occupies at least two continuous REs on the frequency domain. The method for transmitting the reference signal pattern provided by the embodiment of the invention can implement the pattern design of the channel state information-reference signal resource in a 5G system.
