Embodiment Construction

[0036] For the inside of the data center network, the server can only try to restore the connection by retransmitting the TCP message, and cannot locate the fault location. Therefore, a network fault detection method is urgently needed, which can detect and locate the fault of the TCP flow in time.

[0037] Aiming at the problems of low accuracy and low efficiency of network fault detection in the prior art, an embodiment of the present invention provides a network fault detection method, which is applied to a programmable switching chip of a switching device. The flow process of the inventive method is as figure 1 As shown, the execution steps are as follows:

[0038] Step 101, the programmable switching chip performs data flow detection on the received transmission control protocol TCP message, and obtains the quintuple information and the TCP sequence number of the TCP message;

[0039] Here, the programmable switch chip may specifically be a switch chip used for data plan...

Abstract

The invention discloses a network fault detecting method, and is applied to a programmable switch chip of a switch device. The method comprises the following steps: the programmable switch chip performing data flow detection on a received transmission control protocol TCP message, so as to obtain quintuple information and a TCP sequence number of the TCP message; when the quintuple information ofthe TCP message is recorded, judging whether the TCP sequence number is greater than a record sequence number corresponding to the quintuple information; if the TCP sequence number is not greater thanthe record sequence number, adding one to the retransmission frequency corresponding to the quintuple information, and updating the record sequence number to the TCP sequence number; judging whetherthe retransmission frequency is greater than a preset retransmission frequency threshold; and if the retransmission frequency is greater than the preset retransmission frequency threshold, determiningthe TCP message as a fault message and sending the fault message to a fault processing device for fault processing. According to the embodiment of the network fault detecting method, the precision ofthe network fault detection can be improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of communication, in particular to a network fault detection method and device. Background technique [0002] Network failure has always been a problem to be solved in the data center network. As the network environment becomes more complex, it becomes more difficult to find out where the failure occurred in a timely and accurate manner. The TCP protocol handles a small amount of packet loss through packet retransmission, but if the network fails, a large number of retransmitted packets will occur. Therefore, a small number of TCP retransmissions does not necessarily mean that the network is faulty, and network faults will inevitably lead to a large number of packet retransmissions. Therefore, the number of retransmissions within a certain period of time can be used to roughly determine whether the network is faulty. [0003] Existing detection of network faults is mainly performed outside the network. When...
