The invention discloses a real-time attendance system based on face recognition, comprising: receiving video information collected by a camera, and decomposing the video information into picture information; cropping the picture information, calculating coordinates of a human face in a human face part image, and calculating a coordinate coincidence degree; judging whether an image frame of the picture information corresponding to the human face part image is an effective frame according to the coordinate coincidence degree; if so, extracting a feature code of the human face part image; selecting human face identity information corresponding to human face information that is successfully matched with the feature code to serve as real identity information of the human face part image corresponding to the feature code; and marking an attendance state of a person corresponding to the real identity information as a checked state.
