The method comprises the following steps: extracting a two-dimensional tree diagram of a handwritten mathematical formula, and carrying out the formula recognition of the two-dimensional tree diagram through a bidirectional single-hidden-layer Tree-GRU network; wherein the two-dimensional tree diagram is extracted according to different rules, a bidirectional single-hidden-layer Tree-GRU network is correspondingly trained to generate a corresponding classifier, and all nodesand edges can be more accurately covered by a multi-tree fusion strategy than a strategy of only extracting a single tree.
