The method for ensuring the permanent modification of the hardware database comprises the following steps of: under the condition that the transaction state of the latest first transaction recorded in the log of the hardware database is execution completion, comparing the log of the hardware database with an external log used for recording a submitted transaction to obtain a record of a second transaction which exists in the external log used for recording the submitted transaction but does not exist in the log of the hardware database; recording the record content of the second transaction read from the log for recording the submitted transaction in the log of the hardware database, and recording the transaction state of the second transaction in the log of the hardware database according to the condition that the hardware database executes the second transaction; wherein the second transaction comprises data modification. By means of the method, it can be ensured that the log recording condition of the database is consistent with the execution condition of the database, and therefore permanence of database modification is ensured.
