Embodiment Construction

[0033] exist figure 1 A multipole low-voltage circuit breaker 1 is shown in simplified cross-section in FIG. 1 , which has a housing 2 and busbars 3 and 4 protruding from the rear of the housing. A switch contact structure, indicated generally at 5, is electrically connected to the bus bars 3 and 4 and is capable of switching on or off a user (not shown) circuit. The quenching chamber 6 is located in the housing 2 above the switching contact arrangement 5 and contains, in a known manner, arc barriers arranged perpendicularly to the switching arc. The switch contact structure 5 includes a static contact set 7 connected to the upper bus bar 3 , and a moving contact set 10 connected to the lower bus bar 4 through a bendable wire 11 . The contact support 12 belongs to the moving contact group 10 , and the contact support is swingably installed inside the housing 2 of the circuit breaker 1 , and can be switched on and off by the driving device 13 . The swingable contact lever 14 ...

Abstract

A switching contact arrangement (5) of a low voltage circuit breaker (1) has a stationary contact group (7) and a moving contact group (10) that interacts with the same. These contact groups (7, 10) have interacting main contacts (20, 22) and interacting intermediate contacts (21, 23) and arcing contacts (26, 32). The two contact groups (7, 10) are also provided with an arcing horn (25, 31) for conducting an arc into an arcing chamber (6). The arcing contacts are integrated into the arcing horns (25, 31). Only the main contacts are configured as contact facings, the remaining contact points being formed by conductor rails (3, 4) or arcing horns (25, 31). The inventive switching contact arrangement (5) is characterized by its simple structure and by an increased mechanical and electrical service life. The switching times are also particularly short.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a switch contact structure of a low-voltage circuit breaker, which has a static contact group and a moving contact group movable relative to the static contact group for switching. Background technique [0002] The switch contact structure of the above-mentioned form, as announced by DE-B 1 118 317, is due to its larger breaking capacity, longer life and continuous contact with respect to the structure of only one or two contact points. Usually less fever and different. Therefore, this switch contact structure is especially suitable for high-load situations in low-voltage circuit breakers. It can be suitable for measuring currents of thousands of amperes and a breaking capacity of up to about 100,000A. The disconnection is carried out in this way. The final separation of the moving contact group and the static contact group is only realized by the arc-breaking contact. The arc-breaking contact can also be called arc-extinguish...
