Abstract

A harness assembly for use in controlling and directing the swing of a golf club is shown and described. The harness assembly comprises plurality of flexible cords that stretch and wrap a portion of the body of a golfer when the golf club is swung. One cord attaches one end to the end of the golf club handle and the other end to the belt of the golfer. Another cord attaches one end to the right arm of the golfer and the other end to the belt of the golfer. Another cord attaches one end to the left arm of the golfer and the other end to the belt of the golfer. When a golfer makes a back swing, the cords stretch creating a downward pull tension that guide the down swing of the golf club in the correct swing plane.

Description

FIELD OF INVENTION[0001]The present invention relates to golf devices and, more particularly, to a golf aid or harness which helps to insure that the golfer swings the golf club in the correct swing plane.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0002]In order for a golfer to execute a proper golf swing, good coordination of the various parts of the body must be maintained. In the down swing, proper body movement and sequence must be initiated to insure that the golf club swings in the correct swing plane.[0003]Over the years, various apparatus and methods have been suggested to aid a golfer in having the golf club swing in the correct swing plane. Many beginner golfers do not understand the correct swing plane and proper sequence to initiate the down swing. Improper body movement and sequence result in a rather chaotic and ineffective down swing.[0004]It is an object of the present invention to improve the golf swing by providing a simple device to promote the proper body and various body parts ...
