Benefits of technology

This patent describes a protective case for a mobile device that has a special feature called a finger gesture runway. This allows the user to control the device using finger gestures on the front of the case without interfering with the case. The case is made from different materials, depending on the desired durability and flexibility. The technical effect of this design is that it provides a convenient and intuitive way to interact with the mobile device without needing to touch the screen directly.

Problems solved by technology

While mobile electronic devices are continuingly advancing, becoming more powerful, interactive and connected, they also are not cheap and can be quite expensive.
The invention here recognizes that while conventional cases are capable of providing protection, they can interfere with functionality of the device and thereby degrade the user experience.
