This invention details systems, methods, and devices for providing a two-factor graphical password system to a user so that the user may obtain access to a restricted resource. A first previously selected image (previously selected by the user) is presented to the user to enter his password by sequentially selecting predetermined areas on the first image. The user's input is used to create an encryption/decryption key which is used for communicating between a user application and a device. If the user has entered the correct password, then the device can communicate with the user application. Once the device can communicate with the user application, a second previously selected image (previously selected by the user) is presented to the user from the device. The user enters his second password and the user's input is sent to the device. The device then creates the user's alphanumeric password or another encryption key from the user's input and sends this to the user application. The user application then transmits the password or key to the system which restricts access to the restricted resource.

An Internet-based operating system whereby use of data and application software stored on a server may be selectively downloaded to a client device upon request therefrom allowing server-based applications to be accessed and executed on the client device. Because secure communication may readily be established between the server and the client device, many traditional problems of remote data access are overcome. Application software, typically Java code, provides an inherently virus-proof programming language. The end user, operating a client device may access a wide variety of application software with no need to purchase, install, and maintain the software on his machine. A system and method of providing a user interface jump list application is disclosed, which reduces multiple functions into a single user interface function for electronic devices such as portable or mobile devices having computing and communication capabilities. First, the user interface jump list application provides a list of applications executing in the background on the electronic device. Second, the user interface application provides for the ability for the user to close, kill or quit (by giving an instruction) the application running in the background without having to activate or launch that application. The user interface application indicates applications that are active in a different font so the user can easily differentiate an application that is active from one that is not. The user interface application additionally provides a list of important or favorite applications for quick access and a list of recently used applications for quick access. A user can easily launch an application from this list.

One or more embodiments of techniques or systems for application management are provided herein. For example, a system for application management may launch or execute multiple applications, such as a first application and a second application. The system for application management may provide a user with different ways of multi-tasking or ways to switch between applications, such as providing or generating home screen shortcuts for a most recently utilized application or a most frequently launched application. Additionally, the system for application management may enable multi-tasking or swapping of applications when a user double taps a home button, initiates a swipe gesture, hits a task swap button, speaks a voice command, etc. In this manner, application management is provided such that a user may engage in the use of multiple applications or switching between in a quick or efficient manner.

A method for facilitating mobile device payments, multimedia capture, calling, and messaging may include providing a payment, multimedia capture, calling, and messaging interface on a display of a mobile and wearable device and sensing a haptic input of the user via the haptic control associated with one touch payment, one tap payment, and one touch service. In response to the haptic input, a cloud-based application associated with the mobile and wearable device may be activated. The haptic input may be analyzed to determine a duration of the haptic input. Based on the duration of the haptic input, an operation may be selected from the list of predetermined operations to be performed by the cloud-based application. The predetermined operations include at least a payment operation, a multimedia capture operation, a calling operation, and a messaging operation. The method may include operably connecting the mobile and wearable device to a cloud storage.

A gaming system includes a hard disk drive for storing applications and other data. The hard disk drive has multiple regions for storing different types of data. Each application executed on the gaming system has an associated storage area on the hard disk drive. A console application executing on the gaming system prevents a particular application from accessing data in an area of the hard disk drive that is not associated with the particular application. The invention relates to a storage device, system and method of remote keyboard-video-mouse technologies. Technologies for remote keyboard-video-mouse sessions can include failover mechanisms. In some embodiments, a system can establish a first remote keyboard-video-mouse session between a console application on the system and a first server application executed by a controller on a server. The first remote keyboard-video-mouse session can be established via a first network connection between the system and the controller. Next, the system can detect an error associated with the first remote keyboard-video-mouse session. In response to the error, the system can establish a second remote keyboard-video-mouse session between the console application and a second server application executed by an operating or a basic input/output program on the server. The second remote keyboard-video-mouse session can be established via a second network connection between the system and the second server application.

A call center application program allows a call center administrator to access, view, and edit data across multiple applications used by multiple customer interaction systems of the call center. The application program is adapted to retrieve data from a plurality of different applications and systems, consolidate redundant data, and display the data to a user, enabling a single unified view of resources across call center applications.
