A
port access needle extraction tool includes a housing defining an
interior space, wherein the housing has a first end and a second end positioned opposite the first end, a needle engagement member positioned at least partially within the
interior space, wherein the needle engagement member is configured to engage a portion of a
port access needle, and a biasing member. The needle engagement member has an extended position and a retracted position, wherein the biasing member biases the needle engagement member toward the retracted position. Upon engagement of the needle engagement member with the portion of the
port access needle, the needle engagement member is configured to move to the retracted position and retract the port access needle into the
interior space of the housing.
