The invention relates to a novel pumping unit which comprises a donkey head, a swinging beam, a support, high-pressure springs, a beam, a connecting rod, a crank, a speed reducing box and a motor. The donkey head is fixedly connected with one end of the swinging beam to be integrally formed, the middle section of the swinging beam is connected with the top end of the support through a rotating shaft in a rotating mode, and the other end of the swinging beam is connected with a protrusion in the middle of the beam through a rotating shaft in a rotating mode. One of the two high-pressure springs is fixedly connected with one end of the swinging beam in a fixedly connected mode, the other high-pressure spring is fixedly connected with the other end of the swinging beam in a fixedly connected mode, and the other ends of the two high-pressure springs are fixedly connected with protrusions at the top ends of two long boards extending out of the front side and the back side of the support in a fixedly connected mode. By means of the novel pumping unit, the utilization rate of energy is improved, production effectiveness is increased, the loading conditions of suspension points can be improved, the loading conditions of the motor can be relieved, the balancing degree is improved, and the negative torque is eliminated or weakened.
