The embodiments of the invention belong to the field of integrated circuits, and relates to a DAC capacitor array and an analog-digital converter, and a method for lowering power consumption of an analog-digital converter. The DAC capacitor array includes a plurality of sub-capacitor arrays which are in parallel connection. Each sub-capacitor array includes capacitor groups. Each capacitor group includes N capacitors which are in parallel connection, wherein N is an integer. Each sub-capacitor array also includes a primary path switch and a plurality of multi-path selective switches. One end of each capacitor of the capacitor group is connected to an input end of a comparator and is connected to one input source of the primary path switch, and the other end of each capacitor of the capacitor group is connected to a plurality of input sources through a corresponding multi-path selective switches. The DAC capacitor array is optimized by adjusting the reference voltage connected to each capacitor of the DAC capacitor array, and reduces the capacitance of the entire DAC capacitor array, such that a SAR type analog-digital converter is reduced in size, power consumption is reduced, and the cost of manufacturing chip is reduced as well.

The capacitor has the advantages of good shock resistance, good heat conductivity and small volume and mass.

The invention discloses a three-dimensional stereo high-density film multi-layer capacitor. The capacitor comprises a substrate, an insulating film, a multi-layer capacitance function layer film, an insulating layer, an insulating passivation layer, a metal connecting layer, and a plate electrode. The three-dimensional stereo high-density film multi-layer capacitor is manufactured through the steps of etching of the substrate, deposition of the insulating layer, deposition of the insulating passivation layer through a capacitance function layer, etc. The method is simple in process, and a multi-layer capacitance thin-film device can be formed without multiple times of lithography. The layers of films are not restricted. In an ideal condition, the layers of the capacitance function layer film can be freely set to be a finite number as long as the size of the capacitor is large enough, and the cost will not be increased substantially. Films can be adjusted to be distributed mostly in a vertical space, so the size of the capacitor can be greatly reduced. The capacitor is manufactured by a semiconductor film technology, is tolerant to environment, and exhibits high reliability.

The DAC capacitor array includes a plurality of sub-capacitor arrays that are connected in parallel. Each sub-capacitor array includes: a capacitor group, including N capacitors connected in parallel, N being a positive integer; and a primary switch and a plurality of multiplexers; wherein one terminal of each capacitor in the capacitor group is connected to an input terminal of a comparator, and is connected to an input source via the primary switch; and the other terminals of the capacitors in the capacitor group are connected to a plurality of input sources via corresponding multiplexers respectively. The DAC capacitor array is optimized by adjusting the reference voltage to which the capacitors in the DAC capacitor array are connected, which reduces the overall capacitance of the DAC capacitor array. In this way, the size of the SAR analog-to-digital converter is reduced, the power consumption is reduced, and meanwhile the cost of chips may be lowered in manufacture of the chips.
