The present invention discloses a realizing multicasting method in media shared network. Said media shared network includes network side equipment and user side equipment. Said method includes recording step, said network side equipment and user side equipment recording multicasting address and physical address corresponded relation; transmitting multicasting package step, said network side equipment through broadcast packet transmitting it received multicasting package to said user side equipment; identification step, said user side equipment through it inclusive status bit label identifying broadcast packet as multicasting package; and filtering step, said user side equipment utilizing obtained multicasting address and physical address corresponded relation, filtering multicasting package, uses transmitting multicasting package relevant port. Said invention can simply realizes multicasting in media shared network.
