Abstract

The invention discloses a method for sorting white light LED. The white light LED is formed by coating phosphor powder outside a blue light LED chip. The sorting method comprises the following steps: (1) the white light LEDs with same levels of voltage difference and brightness are sorted out; (2) different light split blocks on a chromatic diagram is defined, wherein the light split blocks consist of two curves parallel to a black track and two isotemperature lines with color temperature difference, and each block corresponds to one type of the LEDs; and (3) XY values of the LEDs on the chromatic diagram are measured, the corresponding light split blocks on the chromatic diagram according to the measured XY values are found out, coordinate values corresponding to four vertexes of all blocks within a block range are found out, the coordinate values into a full-automatic light split machine are inputted, and the LEDs by the fully-automatic light split machine are measured and sorted. The method is the most economic and convenient method for sorting light when the requirements can be met.
