The subject of the invention is a control knob (1, 1') used for a cooking apparatus (2), including an operator part (4, 4') having a first wall (6, 6') with a first outer surface (6a, 6a') to be contacted by a user when operating the control knob (1, 1'); according to this invention, at least one hole (8, 8'), which forms an opening (10, 10') on the first outer surface (6a, 6a'), is disposed inside the first wall (6, 6'), where the first outer surface (6a) of the first wall (6) is flat, and the hole (8, 8') is a through hole.
