Abstract

The determining method comprises the steps: firstly the traffic data is acquired through a manual counting or photographic method, and the acquired total traffic volume is converted into equivalent standard car traffic volume; then, by adopting an M / M / N model in the queuing theory, the number of the queuing cars behind the parking line of the intersection entrance is calculated according to a multiple-channel queue system; and finally, the number of the cars is converted into car average queuing length at the unit of meter, and then added with the minimum safety distance among the queuing cars, so that the length of the banned changing lane line can be obtained. The method can avoid traffic jam at the intersection, increases the running efficiency of the intersection, reduces the failure ratecaused at the intersection entrance, and saves resources.
