Abstract

The invention discloses a packet-switching network and a TDM (Time Division Multiplexer) network interworking service protection method as well as network equipment. The method comprises the following steps of: interacting a TDM service between a mainboard and a TDM exchange core when the mainboard fails or needs exchanging; interacting an Ethernet data packet EOS (Embedded Operating System) service which is borne by a synchronous digital series and converted by service types with a packet-switching core; switching SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) protection and interacting the TDM servicebetween a trigger backboard and the TDM exchange core; and submitting the EOS service to the backboard, deleting the EOS service on the mainboard and interacting the EOS service converted by service types between the trigger backboard and the packet-switching core. The invention also discloses network equipment and can realize the communication of the packet-switching network and the TDM network and prevent the EOS service from being interrupted for a long time when exchanged single boards are abnormal or need replacing.
