Abstract

The invention provides an image forming system and an image forming apparatus. The image forming system includes an image forming apparatus, an information processing apparatus and a printer driver generator that generates a printer driver and a unique authentication key for the printer driver. The information processing apparatus gives the unique authentication key to a job generated according to the printer driver currently installed thereon, and transmits them to the image forming apparatus. And the image forming apparatus executes the job if the authentication key received therefrom and an authentication key recorded in the image forming apparatus are identical.
