Abstract

The data storage system comprises a management platform and at least one DVR, wherein, each DVR is connected with an embedded PCI-E card; the embedded PCI-E card is connected with the management platform through a storage network and used for receiving and storing video data according to an instruction of a main control CPU of each DVR connected with the card; the management platform is connected with the embedded PCI-E card on each DVR and acquires the video data connected to the embedded PCI-E card; and the management platform manages the video stored on the embedded PCI-E card by an iSCSI mode. The invention lowers I / O expenditure of the main control CPU, improves system performances and realizes centralized management of scattered video data in each DVR through the management platform by adopting an iSCSI technology.
