Abstract

In the method, an address allocated for a mobile node only identifies the identity attribute of the mobile node; the identity attribute is expressed by an endpoint identifier (EID) address; an Internet protocol (IP) message has a position attribute at a transmission address; and the position attribute is expressed by a routing locator (RLOC) address. The method comprises the following steps that: an edge tunnel router receives the IP message; the edge tunnel router locally searches the RLOC address which corresponds to the EID address of the IP message; the edge tunnel router encapsulates the RLOC address for the IP message; and the edge tunnel router sends the encapsulated IP message.
