The flood discharge structure is characterized by also comprising a flood discharge vertical shaft (1)-centered flood regulation tank (4), wherein the whole flood regulation area is in a column basin shape; and each window (3) is provided with a blocking plate (5). A diluvial area of the storage yard is limited in a small range, so that the decrease speed of dry beach length of the storage yard is reduced, the safe operation time of the storage yard is prolonged, and the effective storage of the storage yard is increased; meanwhile, a novel structure of the windows and the blocking plates thereof is adopted, so that the solidification of red mud nearby the vertical shaft is accelerated, and the safety stability of the storage yard is facilitated.
