Abstract

In order to solve the problem that an armature always has very low insulation resistance or is grounded in a direct current motor of which a commutator is provided with risers, a process scheme for sealing gaps among commutator risers is invented, which solves difficult problems and achieves good effects that: brush carbon powder cannot enter the armature, so that the insulation resistance of the armature is improved; and simultaneously the mechanical strength of the commutator risers and the radiating capability of the armature are improved. The process scheme for sealing the gaps among the commutator risers is characterized in that: after an armature coil is welded with the commutator risers and before the armature dips paint, the gaps among the commutator risers is filled by epoxy glass laminated sheets of 0.5 to 1.0 mm first and then the excircles of the risers are firmly bound by unidrectional tapes; after the paint of the armature is dry, an epoxy resin casting mixture is cast to the end faces of the commutator risers; and the end faces of the risers form smooth and complete white planes after the epoxy resin is coagulated by heating. Therefore, all gaps of the risers are sealed.
