The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a video display size, an output format and a rotation angle on the video decoding unit; combining a data decoding process and a subsequent processing process according to a display parameter configuration decoding module obtained from the previous step and realizing video data output of the specified video format, the size and the rotation angle; transmitting the decoding data to a video display unit; transmitting the data to video output equipment by a video output terminal for displaying. By using the method of the invention, memory usage can be reduced; paralleling of the decoding and the subsequent processing can be realized; a utilization rate of bus bandwidth can be minimized; an efficiency can be raised and audio and video asynchronization caused by the video output unit because of instable subsequent processing time consumption can be avoided.
