It can display: a first index picture in which an independent index image based upon one of the successive images is shown as a successive index image, and independent successive index images and normal index images are displayed mixed in predetermined order; and a second index picture in which a plurality of index images based upon a plurality of images selected out of the successive images are shown as successive index images, and the plurality of successive index images and the normal index images are both displayed.
