Abstract

The invention discloses a method for realizing the cascading of an NVR (Network Video Recorder) management platform. The method is characterized in that a management platform is divided into a core management platform and a plurality of secondary management platforms, NVRs are registered on the respective secondary management platforms, a database of the core management platform stores the relationships between all the NVRs and the secondary platforms registered by the NVRs, and a user can randomly register any one of the secondary management platforms, and when the NVR to be connected is on the secondary management platform which is registered by the user, the secondary management acts for signaling transmission; and when the NVR to be connected is not on the secondary management platform which is registered by the user, the secondary management platform which is registered by the NVR of the core management platform is inquired, then signaling is sent to the secondary management platform, and the two secondary management platform acts for the signaling transmission between a client side and the NVRs. A system is constructed based on an IP (Internet Protocol) network (wired or wireless), and realizes the real digitalized, networked and intelligentized monitoring application.
