The positioning method comprises obtaining a cell identifier CELL ID in report information in a CDMA product, and determining a cell coverage range; obtaining time of arrival (TOA) of signals of a mobile terminal report branch in MT tracking, and calculating the distance between the mobile terminal and a base station according to the TOA; and performing positioning analysis according to the determined cell coverage range and the distance between the mobile terminal and the base station. The positioning method is fast in calculation response speed, and the accuracy is higher than field intensity positioning accuracy and positioning accuracy on the basis of characteristic matching.
