Abstract

Provided herein is an indexing system for retrieving SOI objects by using map tile numbers, comprising: a location data extractor configured to set a minimum bounding rectangle of an SOI object, and obtain at least one center point coordinate from the minimum bounding rectangle ; a map tile converter configured to perform at least one spatial operation between a center point coordinate and a map tile number, and to map an SOI object to a map tile if the center point coordinate exists on a map with a map tile number tile number; and an LBS indexer configured to store multiple SOI objects mapped to corresponding map tile numbers in the form of an inverted file database.
