Abstract

The invention provides a method for processing unread short messages. The method comprises the following steps that newly-received short messages are included in an unread-short-message list and marked with unread state labels; titles of the unread short messages and the unread stage labels are displayed in a short message system inbox interface by a display module; angular deflection values of a mobile terminal in the X direction and the Y direction are captured by a gravity sensor; the angular deflection values captured by the gravity sensor are obtained by a short message receiving module; the unread short messages in the unread-short-message list are replaced by read-short-messages and are marked with read state labels by the short message receiving module according to the angular deviation values; the short message system inbox interface is refreshed by the display module according to a replacement result and the unread short messages are displayed to be read. The unread short messages are replaced by the read short messages by the gravity sensor, so that short-message reading time is saved for a user, and interference caused by junk short messages is reduced. The invention further provides a system for processing the unread short messages.
