Abstract

The invention discloses a banknote storage device capable of discriminating the serial number of banknote. The device comprises a banknote transmitting mechanism, a banknote feeder, a sensor, a transmission speed obtaining mechanism, a control mechanism and a detection module, wherein the detection module just faces the banknotes, and the detection module is used for determining the serial numbers of the banknotes. Due to use of multiple shooting sensors of the detection module, the shooting sensors just face the banknotes to shoot the serial numbers of the banknotes, and data of the serial numbers is transmitted to a processing module for data processing and reading; and the serial-number data in a subsequent storage module is compared with data in an external database to distinguishing the authenticity of the banknotes.
