Abstract

An embodiment of the invention provides a visible light-based communication method. The visible light-based communication method includes an information sending step and an information receiving step. The information sending step includes: obtaining communication information and location information; encoding the communication information and the location information; modulating the encoded information into a visible light signal; and sending the visible light signal. The information receiving step includes: capturing the visible light signal; demodulating the visible light signal; restoring the communication information and the location information; and outputting. By means of spreading characteristics of visible light, the visible light-based communication method provided by the embodiment of the invention can establish an emergency communication channel independent of any existing communication infrastructure in emergency, is suitable for emergency requirements of open environments such as a mountainous area and an open field, and can provide a reliable information transmission approach for rescue and relief work and emergency rescue of sudden events.
