Abstract

The embodiment of the present invention discloses a message forwarding method, device and system, which are applicable to the scenario where a customer edge device CE is dual-homed to an Ethernet virtual private network EVPN through a first provider edge device PE and a second PE. Establishing an Ethernet link between a PE and the second PE, the method includes: the first PE establishes a port isolation group; the first PE passes through the port on the first PE side of the Ethernet link receiving the message forwarded by the second PE; forwarding the message to CEs connected to ports other than the port isolation group in the first PE by the first PE. Adopting the present invention can effectively solve the technical problem that the traffic on the user side is transmitted back in the EVPN network message forwarding process in the prior art, without changing the current hardware chip design.
