The method comprises the following steps: (1) grooving: side surfaces of furniture components are grooved; and machining allowances are left between the grooves and the end surfaces of the furniture components; (2) paint coating: high-hardness paint is coated in the grooves and on the side surfaces of the furniture components for curing; (3) edge cutting: the edge cutting is performed for the paint-coated surfaces of the furniture components; and (4) chamfering: the edges of the furniture componnets are chamfered to remove the machining allowances between the grooves and the furniture components to obtain edges formed by the high-hardness paint; and the edges resist wear, and are not easy to damage, so that the service life of the furniture components is prolonged.
