The scheme disclosed by the invention comprises the following steps: acquiring a to-be-projected image, dividing the to-be-projected image into N frame images, wherein the resolution of each of N frame images is the second resolution, the resolution of the to-be-projected image is the first resolution, the second resolution is not more than the resolution of the light valve, and N is a positive integer greater than 1; and displaying N frame images in an active shutter 3D system way. Visually, the scheme disclosed by the invention divides the high-resolution image to obtain N frame images with resolution less than or equal to the resolution of the light valve, the N frame images are displayed in the active shutter 3D system way; since the sum of the information amount contained by the N frame images is the same as the information amount of the to-be-projected image, the information amount of the image is substantially free from loss, the defect that the pixel information is lost when the high-resolution image is displayed through the projection in the prior art is overcome, the pixel information amount carried in the high-resolution image can be retained when the high-resolution image is displayed through the projection.
