The method comprises steps of dividing a logic volume into a plurality of first data sectors having the same size, defining the first data sector as a data migration unit, detecting a data migration state of a data sector of the first data sector corresponding to a current IO request data block, and controlling an IO request execution action according to the data migration state of the data sector of the first data sector corresponding to the current IO request data block. During the data migration process, a user happens to execute an IO request to a migrated storage unit, and determines the data migration state of the first data sector corresponding to the current IO request and determines whether the data migration of the first data sector conflicts with the IO request; then the user controls the IO request according to a determining result, so IO operation to the storage unit under migration can be avoided; and data inconsistency, loss and damage after the migration can be avoided.
