The answer positioning method comprises the steps that an input query sentence is received; the query sentence is parsed to generate a semantic parsing tree corresponding to the query sentence; a pre-established matching library is utilized to match the semantic parsing tree so as to obtain the aligning probability of a candidate answer and the semantic parsing tree in the matching library; a final answer is determined according to the aligning probability. By the adoption of the answer positioning method, the process that a user clicks a link and find an answer in a tedious text can be avoided, the answer required by the user is visually and clearly displayed, and the search service request of the user is deeply met.
