Abstract

The invention provides a measurement instrument for the volatilization characteristics of an atmospheric aerosol. The measurement instrument comprises the following successively connected parts: a drying system, a first particle size sorting system, an aerosol volatilization control system, a second particle size sorting system and a particle counting system. Moreover, the invention also provides a measurement method for volatilization characteristics of the atmospheric aerosol. The method uses the measurement instrument for measuring particle size changes and distribution of aerosol particles varied in particle sizes before and after volatilization at different temperatures. Compared with the prior art, the measurement instrument and measurement method for the volatilization characteristics of the atmospheric aerosol in the invention have the advantages of capacity of realizing measurement of the volatilization characteristics of the atmospheric aerosol and measuring the volatilization factors and mixing states of aerosols with different particle sizes at different temperatures, high automation degree, good stability and continuous operability under the condition of unattended operation.
