Embodiment 1

[0063] In this example, the bladder dose prediction of prostate cancer patients was performed, and the VMAT plans of 14 prostate cancer patients were selected for model training.

[0064] First, the patient's anatomy is discretized into voxels with a resolution of 2.3438×2.3438×3mm.

[0065] Then, use MATLAB to extract the anatomical features and dose features of the patient's bladder, where the anatomical features include the volume of the PTV, the minimum distance from the bladder voxel to the PTV boundary, the minimum distance from the bladder voxel to the rectal boundary, and the bladder voxel to the left femoral head boundary The minimum distance between the bladder voxel and the boundary of the right femoral head, and the minimum distance between the bladder voxel and the boundary of the urethral bulb. The number of models on a single patient is equal to the number of organs at risk plus the number of PTVs, that is, the number of organs at risk plus 1 . Figure 2 to Fig...

Embodiment 2

[0081] This embodiment is based on the prediction method of the three-dimensional dose distribution in the intensity-modulated radiotherapy plan described in the above embodiment, and provides a specific application method of the prediction method. The specific steps are:

[0082] Taking the bladder voxel as the unit, extract six anatomical features of the new patient's bladder voxel, including the volume of the PTV, the minimum distance between the voxel and the border of the PTV, the minimum distance between the voxel and the border of the rectum, and the distance between the voxel and the border of the left femoral head. The minimum distance, the minimum distance from the voxel to the boundary of the right femoral head, and the minimum distance from the voxel to the boundary of the urethral bulb;

[0083] Enter the anatomical features into the trained association model to obtain the predicted bladder dose feature values for new patients;

[0084] (C) With the dose value a...

Abstract

The invention discloses a predication method for three-dimensional dose distribution in intensity modulated radiation therapy plans. The method includes steps of (1) collecting valid intensity modulated radiation therapy plan data and forming a case database; (2) dividing a PTV and different to-be-endangered organs of patients into a plurality of voxels according to the resolution ratio of CT images; (3) extracting anatomical characteristics of each patient in the database; (4) extracting dose characteristics of each patient in the database; (5) constructing an artificial neural network, inputting the anatomical characteristics and the dose characteristics of the patients, and learning the mapping relation between the anatomical characteristics and the dose characteristics by the aid of the artificial neural network, and obtaining a correlation model of the anatomical characteristics and the dose characteristics; (6) using the correlation model to predicate the three-dimensional dose distribution of a new patient. The application of said method is using the dose distribution predication method for dose prediction for to-be-endangered organs of patients and quality control is achieved. By adopting the above method, predication of three-dimensional dose distribution in intensity modulated radiation therapy plans can be realized and the method can be applied to a quality control link.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of medical radiotherapy, in particular to a method for predicting three-dimensional dose distribution in an intensity-modulated radiotherapy plan and specific applications of the method. Background technique [0002] Tumor radiation therapy uses radiation to kill tumor cells and avoid normal tissues and endangered organs from being irradiated as much as possible. It is one of the main methods for treating malignant tumors. The key to improving the quality of radiotherapy is to achieve a high concentration of beam energy on the tumor area. In terms of radiotherapy technology, the intensity-modulated radiotherapy technology, that is, the intensity-modulated technology, further improves the conformity of the dose distribution in the patient's body through the movement of the multi-leaf grating and the adjustment of the beam intensity. Mainstream treatment for internal and other types of tumors. [0003] Clini...
