Abstract

The invention discloses a mathematical morphology filtering and chi-square transform-combined multi-temporal remote sensing image change detection method. According to the method, the difference image of multi-temporal multispectral images is calculated; on the basis of the difference image, the CST (Chi-Squared Transform) value of each point on the image is calculated; a threshold value is obtained according to a confidence level, so that a preliminary change detection result is obtained; majority filtering (spatial information embedding) is performed on the preliminary change detection result; the mean and variance matrix of non-change areas are recalculated according to a filtering result; and the above process is repeated until a detection result does not change. In the detection process, the confidence level is selected through a pseudo-training sample set; and a final change detection result is obtained on the basis of an optimal confidence level. According to the method of the invention, in a process in which the statistical parameters of the chi-square transform are iteratively estimated, the mathematical morphology is additionally adopted to perform space constraint on the detection result, and therefore, the method has high universality and can improve detection precision.
