Abstract

The invention discloses a pixel circuit and a driving method thereof and a display device. The pixel circuit comprises a light emitting diode, a storage capacitor, a drive transistor, a first switch transistor, a second switch transistor, a third switch transistor, a fourth switch transistor, a fifth switch transistor and a sixth switching transistor. In a compensation stage of the pixel circuit,a grid electrode and a source electrode of the drive transistor are connected to form an electric current which flows from a second end of the storage capacitor through the drive transistor, the thirdswitch transistor and the fourth switch transistor to an initial voltage signal line, so that voltages of the grid electrode and a drain electrode of the drive transistor are the same, voltages of the source electrode of the drive transistor and the second end of the storage capacitor are the same, wherein the voltage of the second end of the storage capacitor comprises a threshold voltage of thedrive transistor, so that the voltage of the grid source of the drive transistor comprises the threshold voltage, electric currents which flow through the light emitting diode are irrelevant to the threshold voltage of the drive transistor in a light emitting stage of the pixel circuit, so that compensation of the threshold voltage of the drive transistor is achieved.
