The embodiment of the invention provides a random matching grouping method and device and an application server. The method comprises the steps that matching grouping requests sent by target users areobtained; according to first accounts of the target users, historical application data of the target users is retrieved from an application database of a first application platform; according to thehistorical application data of the target users, the credit scores of the target users on the first application platform are determined; according to the credit scores, the matching sequence of the target users in a team waiting queue is determined; the first accounts of the target users are associated with a group identifier of a matching team according to the matching sequence, and a team matching result at least including the group identifier is sent to the target users. By means of the method, the reliability of the matching result of random matching grouping can be improved.
