The headlight comprises at least one first light source for a main beam, which light source emits light during the operation of the headlight, and a first light directing means (1, 1a, 1b) which has at least one light input face (3, 3a, 3) for the light emitted by the at least one first light source, and atleast one light exit face (5, 5a, 5b), and also comprising at least a second light source for a dipped headlight (11) which emits light during the operation of the headlight, and a second light directing means (2) which has at least one light input face (4) for the light which is emitted by the at least one second light source, and at least one light exit face (6).
