Provided is an image correction method, acquiring a first aspect ratio of a quadrangle of an image to be corrected and a geometric feature of the quadrangle; acquiring a compensation factor of the quadrangle according to the geometric feature of the quadrangle; calculating a second aspect ratio of the quadrangle according to the first aspect ratio of the quadrangle and the compensation factor of the quadrangle; calculating a transformation matrix according to the second aspect ratio of the quadrangle; and correcting the image to be corrected according to the transformation matrix. By means ofthe solution provided in the present application, an estimated value closer to the original aspect ratio of a captured subject can be obtained, thereby obtaining a corrected image that is substantially consistent with the original aspect ratio of the captured subject.
