Abstract

The invention provides a configuration method, a user device and a network side device. The configuration method comprises the steps of: sending a capability change request message for changing a first capability set into a second capability set to a network side; receiving a capability change response message sent by the network side for the capability change request message; and, according to the capability change response message, changing the capability of adopting the user device in the first capability set into the capability of adopting the user device in the second capability set. According to the configuration method, the user device and the network side device provided by the invention, the user device requests for distributing corresponding network resources from the network side in the capability set mode; in practical application, when being too high in temperature or too rapid in power consumption, the user device can send the capability set of reducing the data processing capability to the network side, so that the network side distributes less network resources to the user device; therefore, the problem that the user experience is influenced can be avoided; obviously, different emergency conditions of the user device can be solved by adoption of the process in the embodiment; and thus, the scheme is simple and easy to implement.
