Abstract

The invention relates to mattress support-adjusting equipment, including a hinge device (8) disposed between the base bracket (1) and a mattress bracket (5) adjustable relative to the base bracket (1)for displacing the mattress bracket (5) between a use position and an upper position; and a safety device (53) for preventing the mattress support (5) from being undesirably displaced from the upperposition to the use position. The safety device (53) comprises a locking member (54) in connection with the base bracket (1), a plurality of locking members (55) arranged spaced apart from each otherfor defining a corresponding mattress bracket-locking position; and a detent mechanism for lockingly interacting with one of the locking members when the mattress bracket (5) is undesirably displacedfrom the upper position to the use position.
