Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a store-and-forward device and method applied to a store-and-forward switch. The device comprises a time slice scheduling module which is used for generatingn * n time slices according to the number of switching ports; a receiving module which is used for simultaneously generating write last complete data and write fragment data when the write time sliceof the corresponding port is valid and fragment data exists, storing the write last complete data into an external memory and storing the write fragment data into a fragment memory; and a sending module which is used for simultaneously generating read last complete data and read fragment data when the port read time slice corresponding to the sending module is valid and fragment data exists, reading the read last complete data from the external memory and reading the read fragment data from the fragment memory. According to the scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention, the number ofexternal memories, the PCB wiring area and the product power consumption can be effectively reduced, and the bandwidth requirement of the switch is met.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates to but not limited to the technical field of network communication, especially a store-and-forward device and method applied to a store-and-forward mechanism switch. Background technique [0002] As an emerging avionics bus standard, Avionics Full Duplex Switched Ethernet (AFDX) is based on ordinary Ethernet and adds flow control strategies to both terminals and switches to ensure Real-time performance of data transmission in avionics system. [0003] As the number of ports required by the switch increases and the port rate increases from 100M to 1000M, the data exchange bandwidth required by the switch will continue to increase. Therefore, how to ensure sufficient bandwidth for data exchange is a key technology in switch design. Taking a 24-port Gigabit switch as an example, its bandwidth requirement has reached 48Gbps, and because the length of the frame data is random, it cannot be equipped with the broadband of the...
