Abstract

The invention discloses an edge environment-oriented video transmission system and a transmission method thereof. The system mainly includes a controller, an edge device, a mobile device and a video server. The controller calculates the CPU load of the edge device and the access point edge device of the mobile device through the CPU load model of the edge device, and controls the flow of video traffic by delivering flow entries to the edge device. The edge device is the carrier of the network function, runs the network function instance that inspects the video traffic, and caches video blocks. The mobile device runs the video client, can watch the video, and periodically uploads location and communication radius information to the controller. The video server divides the video into several fixed-size video blocks, and the controller caches these video blocks on the edge device. The present invention can alleviate the CPU overload phenomenon of the device in the edge environment while checking the video flow, and meet the time delay requirement of the user watching the video as much as possible.
