Abstract

The present invention relates to a construction machine capable of normally controlling an automatic idling function even under a pressure change caused by a temperature of a working oil, and an automatic idling control method therefor, the construction machine comprising: an oil tank containing the working oil to be supplied to an operating part of the construction machine; a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the hydraulic oil in the oil tank; an operation determination unit that sets a reference pressure to the operation unit on the basis of the temperature of the hydraulic oil detected by the temperature sensor, and determines whether or not the operation unit is operated on the basis of the set reference pressure and the pressure of the hydraulic oil; and a vehicle control unit that determines whether or not an automatic idle function is activated / disabled on the basis of the determination result from the operation determination unit.
