Abstract

A life vest includes a hydration pack capable of providing hydration to a user of the life vest; and a personal locator having a global positioning system receiver and a transmitter capable of transmitting the global positioning system location of the user of the life vest.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0001]The present invention generally relates a life vest. More specifically, the invention relates to a life vest with a hydration system and personal locator transmitter.[0002]The use of emergency position indicating radio beacons for locating personnel stranded at sea or on land are well known in the prior art.
