This invention discloses a
screening method for high
luteolin-containing chrysanthemum tea varieties. During the peak flowering period, multiple healthy,
disease-free plants of each variety are randomly selected, and their stem
diameter,
leaf weight, and number of petals are measured and averaged. The value is calculated using the following formula: Y = -0.387 + 0.268X6 + 0.001X7 + 0.02X3; where X3 is stem
diameter, X6 is
leaf weight, and X7 is the number of petals. The larger the Y value, the higher the
luteolin content of the variety. This method can quickly and initially screen high-content varieties, has low identification costs, and is simple to operate. It is a rapid
screening method suitable for early breeding stages and large-scale field evaluation.
